hey folks I just bought this s80 needs a few things one of which is to fix this oil leak... When I bought it (yesterday) the guy told me it had an oil leak and showed me a line right buy oil pan .Its hanging down enough to see and has a bolt stuck in it with a hose clamp on it? Definitely not oem. The oil was about a quart down. I filled it up and I drove the car today about 150 miles. used about 2 quarts you can see it dripping when stopped out of this hose. My question is what is hooked to the other end of the hose? I am totally new to the Volvo but am a fair mecnic... reading about pcv service, I am sure its gonna need but what else should I look for?Also under the hood coming out from under the intake is an aluminum line its all smashed flat and I see a few vacuums cut and plugged . Any Advice before I tear into it? TIA

 

ok well then...
I have been doing research and determined to start with the breather system service, I will do the timing belt and water pump as well. Getting a maf sensor error so fix that.
I guess this forum doesn't get much action....
