Default '10 S80 I6 Turbo AWD (Volvo CPO)

Greetings,

I found a CPO '10 S80 I6 Turbo AWD @45K miles.
Is this model a reliable daily driver or a money pit?
Any particulars to look out for?
Here are a few specific questions, if you don't mind:
1) I understand they do NOT come with a spare tire, but is there a well under the trunk to put one? If so, full size or space-saver? How to order the spare kit?
2) HD radio?
3) Timing belt or chain? If belt, change intervals?
4) Spark plug change intervals?

Is this model a reliable daily driver or a money pit? Pretty reliable, unless you get one with an oil consumption problem.
Any particulars to look out for? History of oil consumption problems.
Here are a few specific questions, if you don't mind:
1) I understand they do NOT come with a spare tire, but is there a well under the trunk to put one? If so, full size or space-saver? How to order the spare kit? Some do, some don't. Space saver if it has one. Dealership would be the source for a new one, ebay or junkyard for used.
2) HD radio? Some have it, some don't.
3) Timing belt or chain? If belt, change intervals? Chain.
4) Spark plug change intervals? 75,000 miles

We just bought a 2011 T6 AWD with 27.5K miles, CPO warranty through 2/2018. Excellent driving car.

ES6T, just to be certain, you say the 3.0 T6 has timing chain and not a belt, correct? For some reason I thought all Volvo motors had timing belts. Glad to know its chain but want to be 100% sure. Thanks.

Everyone else confirms it has a belt. Please doublecheck accuracy before you post information on the site. It could cost someone a whole engine rebuild.

It's a chain, so take your own advice buddy. All SI6 motors have timing chains.

@kalali,

I have not made up my mind yet, but the timing belt vs chain thing got me confused.
Did yours come with a maintenance & warranty guide? If so, there should be an item for a timing belt change interval.

There won't be, because it's a chain. I don't know who "everyone else" is, but they are wrong.

He probably googled T6 timing belt and found information on the old P2 T6 engine, which does have a belt. The SI6 engine is totally different.

Sorry you may be right about older motor since no one specifically mentioned the engine type. And most people who write in forums probably have an older car. Anyway, glad to hear about the design change.
