Default 1999 s 80T6 Lack of top end power

Hi, 1999 volvo s80 t6 154k miles, Engine idles smooth, but it has a slight shutter when I accelerate hard and does not have follow through power when I floor the gas pedal, low end power seems fine, just when I floor the car around _+4000 rpm when the thin turbo is supposed to kick in the power curve flattens.
Any Ideas?
Thanks

When you floor it the turbo kicks in long before 4000 rpms. Should kick in around 2000 rpms. It sounds like you may have exhaust restriction or maybe a bad catty. You could also have a turbo going out.

Do you have any codes stored in the computer?

I have code P0303, I am going to change the plugs and #3 coil. I'll post my results.
Thanks

You could swap the coil with another position to trouble shoot it. If that doesn't work and you need to change a plug, replace all of them with OEM plugs. Especially if they have not been done in the past 30,000 miles.

I changed all the plugs with Bosch platinum and replaced the coil just in case. Car runs great now. Next I have to deal with the oil separator box ( it is blowing oil from the dip stick tube when I drive it hard), wish me luck.

You'll get it worked out. As for plugs, you may want to try OEM plugs next time.
