1999 S80 Clock not working
Has anyone had an issue with the clock? Mine just stopped working. It still displays in the dash, but when I set the time, it just stays on whatever time I set it to. I know it may sound trivial but I do like to know what time it is when I'm driving and being a girl, if something is not working right on my car , I have it checked out ASAP, so it does bother me! Any ideas what could be wrong with it?
My guess is that the processor in the dash is going out. I'm not really up on the S80 stuff but the 850 clock is a seperate part of the cluster. Also, my 960 cluster clock was seperate.
Hopefully somone else will help you soon with it. Other than that, maybe a piece of electrical tape will hide if from you. Having a '99 S80, you likely have a lot more to worry about.

Sadly my clock also just stopped. I can set it to any time, yet it fails to advance. Illumination is okay, digits display, but no advance of time. Tried the battery disconnect/reset and no go. Oh well.
I had my S80 in the Volvo dealership recently and asked about this problem. I was told that the entire cluster had to be replaced and that they felt it was not worth the cost. I had already added a small digital clock to my console to make up for the lack of the dash clock. Oh well.
