I have a damaged driver door latch (That what VOLVO Dealer said), where I keep getting a message "Driver Door Open" even when door is closed.. and the Chime keeps beeping all the time which drives me crazy... Volvo Dealer said it will cost about 300$ to replace the door latch but I don't want to do it.

I was wondering if you guys can tell me of a way to disable this Chime or to disconnect it.. any ideas?
