Default AC Problem

Having a problem which I never see before. Driver side (Left) both vents are giving cool air but on front passenger side both vents are giving hot air. What could be the issue. By the way its 1999 S80 2.9 ...and I am sure Never filled AC with freon... any suggestions?

when you say cool air, do you mean cold like from the AC or cool as in drawing air from the outside? What happens if you turn on the AC on full (ie in recirculate mode) - do you feel any cold? Can you feel or tell if the compressor is kicking on and staying on? the cars have a low pressure sensor which will keep the AC compressor off if you have low pressure. Otherwise, it may be the climate control system is not closing off the heater air flow. Do you see any odd things like the AC /REC lights flashing on/off?

Hi mt6127,

All seems ok as far lights on/off or ac/rec concerned.

Yes, I mean cold air coming from driver vents only while AC is on but normal air from the passenger vents (In Summer it just completely blow HOT Air).

Yes I do hear AC is ON and engaged.

Are you sure the blend door is moving? Remove the right lower dash panel and look at the side of the plenum where the push rods attach. Turn the passenger temperature **** from cold to hot / hot to cold, and you should see the push rods moving.
