Removing the cable and disconnecting the battery may temporarily reset the message, but this isn't always the case.

Was the Cable from a Stereo system?

The car has one from the factory that goes to under the hood to supply power to the car.

yes the cable was froma sound system sub woofer, 500 watts, and is powered from the battery, whats this about under the hood???

The car has one from the factory that goes to under the hood to supply power to the car.
Should I have my subwoofer powered to that?

How do I take out the cable to the battery, do i just unscew it?

Is it for sure that the SRS airbag message will resett?

thanks

If the battery is in the trunk why is the wire running through the car?
You must not have the Amp in the trunk.

The best place to go to feed an amp is as close to the battery as possible.

Do you know what set the Air bag light off?

Im not sure if it will reset with the battery disconnected.

the cable is connected to the battery(in the trunk) and the amp is mounted on the back of the seat....
The message came on that said "SRS airbag service urgent" came up.....

https://volvoforums.com/m_17102/tm.htm

we sorta discussed this before, unfortunately i am forced to remove the sound system......
Just need to disconnect the cable from the batter, and was wondering the process on it (2001 s80 t6), the battery is in the trunk and the amp is powered from that...

If you're interested, this is how it is hooked up,
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2188838

Customer states the air bag light is on again. SRS cpde 007C seat belt tensioner middle resistance to high. Needs to remove all audio equiptment and return for testomgf for extended period"

Service manager says that the power levels in the car have to be normal, this means it my sound system has to come out.......

Could this 500 watt subwoofer cause more problems in my car

Ok you werent 100% specific before. You can just remove the wire from the battery and remove the Amp.

The Levels from the Stereo should not have anything to do with the SRS. It is possible that When everything was installed something was taken apart and not snapped in all the way causing a faulty connection.

The SRS module has a battery backup memory. So It won't reset the light.

Once you get everything out you will have to have the light reset and see if it comes back.
Does any of the wires run near the Seat belt buckle?
Is it possible that when you fold the seat down that the wires can pull on the seatbelt wires?

this might explain it, when i fold my seats up and down constanly the seat belt gets caught a lot when i fold it up, then i pull the seat belt to get it out from behind the seat...
i think thats what happened, the wires interfere in no way with the folding of the seat....the amp is mounted on the back of the driver side seat so when its folded down, the driver side is pushed down on more....
