blue smoke
hello all.. Please can someone help me ?
i've just purchased a 2000 model S80 2.5 diesel (the d5252t audi),
it's on 121000 miles and has full sevice history uptill 111000 miles.
There's a LOT of blue smoke coming out of the exhaust ,
i thought at first it was the turbo seals but after wasting 4 hours removing the turbo
i then noticed the oil was entering the turbo via the OIL BREATHER PIPE going into the intake.
there is , what i would call , a small amount of pressure build-up in the engine
( if i put my finger over the breather hole, after about 20 seconds you get a hiss of air when you take your finger off).
the car runs smooth with plenty of power , if you didnt look in the rearview mirror you wouldnt know anything was wrong.
the car was mot'd 3000 miles ago, so i would asume it was ok then to pass the smoke test.
could this fault be something simple to rectify or is my engine shot ??
thanks in advance for any help....
Hi tech, Well i didnt know that you had no diesels over there, thats a fisrt for me, new owners my best buddy, I told him to post on here. Is there any other way that we can get help on this diesel car, can you suggest anywhere, please kind sir. John. Thankyou.
If the diesel is anything like the gas motors as car as PCV system there will be a black box under the intake manifold like behind the power steering pump and alternator. Check all the hoses coming off of it.Make sure they are clean and free flowing.
