Question brake question

Alright just wondering, never had any other car do this. My s80 T6 in the morning after it has rested/slept all night and I get into it the brake is pressured all the way to where it is not able to be pushed down at all. Now as soon as I start the car it is completely fine and works normal, it is only when I first touch it in the morning and the car is OFF, but like I said it is normal as soon as the key is turned... is this normal?

Thanks ahead of time,
Mike

There is no vacuum in the brake booster to give you a "soft pedal" AKA power brakes. Once you turn the car on, the electric vacuum pump and/or the vacuum of the engine allows the pedal to become soft and sink down a little bit. Normal operation.
