My hood release cable (2002 S80 T6) just broke at the release pull handle inside the car. I am thinking the only way to fix this is to buy a new cable and fish a new one through the firewall but on the surface it doesn't seem that it will be a simple job. Has anyone out there changed one out and what are the "tricks" to make it easier? Please help!!

 

It is a pain to replace. You need to remove the air box and a few other things.
