Brought the wrong cable, can I use it on the S80
I brought a OBDII cable off the internet only to find that the software that cam for it was for the FCR cars and not the S80. It seems to be a standard OBDII seial cable so I thought I would still be able to use it but I have tried lots of free OBD software packages and I can't get it to talk to the car.
The car is a 2000 T6 S80
Software on the disk is for 800 series S/V 70 & 900's
Software I have tried is Didimoto lite & Scanmaster neither of them could talk to the car
When scanning I had set the keys to P2
Laptop is running windows 7

I thought you should be able to use that as well, but after I bit more reading I was under the impression I couldn't and I needed the VCT2000 to work.
I do have the software and I couldn't get it working.
