New Member, I brought pics!!!
I am a new guy here, so hello. I am not new to cars or forums though, I have two RX7's plus this Volvo, so I'm familar with the basic car stuff and I'm online on RX7club all the time.
So I bought this 2002 S60 AWD in August of 2006 when it had only 28,000 miles on it. It now has 45,000 one year later. I have really enjoyed the car so far, just a pleasure to drive everyday, even at a 100mi daily commute. I live in Northern NJ, and my local roads and mountainous and twisty so this is great, but ven on the highway this thing moves.
I replaced the fuel filter, engine air filter and headlights with the last oil change. She gets Mobile 1 at 6000 mi intervals. I'm not gonna mess with the motor or anything that would affect it's reliablity as this is essential for my income. I'm looking to do some rims, possibly stock body kit or front lip, I already bought the springs. blah blah blah,......

What do you think.

That's a nice car, GreenBudd. Looks like you've already got an aftermarket front grill. What are those, 16s? Yeah replacing those would definitely turn some heads and raise some eyebrows. I'd paint the trim to match the body, but you're probably waiting to add the body kit. The front lip idea is cool. I've seen one like that and it looks nice. I would then suggest painting the entire lower trim to match. Might suggest some tint but not very dark. Nice find with only 28000 miles.
Hello NJGB,
Welcome to the forum, I hope you enjoy being here.
Very niceS60 you have, TLC it and it'll serve you many miles & years.
When you have technical questions/answers to S60, be sure to post them in the S60 forum. Also, please do a bit of research when you need an answer, as you can often find answers to your questions via forum search.
Good day!

Thanks guys!!
This seems like a nice forum, but I bet you guys bite when a newb doesn't search, just like rx7club does. Like I said, I'm familar with the structture of an auto forum, It's just that until now, I haven't been on here much. So, rest assured I'll search, I've already been browsing just to get a feel for you guys.
My Volvo has been a great car for the first year of my ownership. I replaced the grill as soon as I got it home because the stock one was cracked and they wanted something ridiculous for the stock replacement. It was cheap and it looks great, really makes it stand out from all the other volvos on the road here.
I just bought a set of sport springs from H&R then I realized they were only for FWD, so now I goota sell them and get me some Eibachs or something for my AWD.
I'm liking your guys' suggestions, I was thinking some heico 18" rims but I'm open to ideas.

I have two different model second generation Rx7's, both FC's, both S4's as well.
'88 GXL- 5spd swap, limited slip, headers, old daily driver

'87 Turbo II - rebuilt motor w/ less than 2K on it, currently undergoing massive restoration

Great cars. tons of fun. They're not as wacky as people make them out to be, sure they don't have any pistons but thats okay. As long as you get ahold of one thats been well maintained you're good to go, these can be reliable, they can also be race cars like volvos. But these cars are 20 yrs old and they are often neglected and abused by stupid people, so they get a bad rap sometimes.
here's a shot of my TII motor stripped to the block, cleaned up and somewhat painted:

Take a look here if you want to see some of the other work for this car, it's getting rebuilt w/ a bunch of goodies:
http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=673426
But for the volvo, do you have tio do anything else after installing the lowering springs from eibach, any camber adjustment necessary, I plan on an alighnment, but do i need other parts besides the springs?? It's only a 1.2" drop.

^Technically no, but if you want increase performance, you might want to upgrade your other suspension components too.
But I think Eibach says it's ok to go on stock struts. I'd plan on getting some aftermarket struts eventually though...
BTW, nice FCs. It is hard to find ones that aren't beaten on, and yours look clean. Are they hard to work on? The concept of a rotory engine just seems weird to me lol. And don't the seals usually go bad on these cars?

Thanks for the pics... I've always been interested in rotary engines since learning about them in school. Also, my future (dream) car uses rotary engines!
By the way, I think the members of this forum "bite" the least with regard to searching before posting. I've seen Tech write the same response to some issues probably 20-30 times.

Hello again NJGB,
Don't worry about someone's trying to bite. Now that I'm a moderator, I will not allow hateful, sarcastic or any rude replies and will be sure to delete them (though some cases must be handled by the administrators). Many people forget that they too were once newbies. We are not mundane grease monkeys like at other automotive forums, we are grease monkeys with respect & intelligence.
"Search" does not mean you have to go through 50 threads, only to find despair. A few people are just frustrated, which I understand, as some new members post questions to their problems (to which they can find a solution on the very same page or within the first few pages) and never return a word of appreciation and disappear once they have solved their problems.
I myself do not mind repeating the same replies, as long as they are appreciated, and I have also been updating a thread that could benefit many people in terms of basic maintenance. Here it is: https://volvoforums.com/m_48928/tm.htm
Welcome again, and nice Wankel you have!
Cheers,
JPN

Very cool. I like this place already. I guess that's what you get when you drive a Volvo huh?
I actually dig seeing other s60's on the road, it great to see what i look like going down the road you know?? Just tonight ont he way home from work I found myself in a line of 3 S60's for about 30 miles on Rt 80W. Just felt cool to be with other Volvos. haha
So for the springs, no one had to adjust the camber to avoid premature tire wear or anything. I know the stock shocks should be fine with the eibachs, I'm just worried about the drop in ride height, like if I'll have to use camber links or plates or anything. Or can I just install the springs and then get an alignment and be all set.
Thanks

More Pics. I just remebered. I have another mod besides the grille........k&n drop in filter. Thats another +20 points right? This thing is a stock beast!!

I think my very next thing is tint, then fogs, then front lip or body kit and Then finally rims.
