Default Car died in highway now won’t even turn over

OK, I have a 2007 Volvo S80. Since I’ve had it, I had to replace the fuel pump and then shortly after that I had to put it in the shop because a hose came loose on the fuel pump. That’s what I assumed happened again on the highway because I lost all ability to accelerate and the car just slowly died and I had to pull over to the side of the road. Now I had gotten a alert that my battery needed to be changed in my key a few days prior to that and I believe it was that day that I changed the battery in my key as well. I say this because after I had it towed to my house, I went to go try to start it the next day and it seemed to start, but the battery was dead. So I hooked it up to another car to charge the battery and jump it and then I went to start it and it just started flashing like there was electrical issues and kept telling me to put the car in park to get my key out even though the car was in park. Then, at one point, I even had an in immobilizer Warning pop-up. I can’t test the fuel pressure if I can’t get it to try to turn over and I can’t figure out how to get it to try to start if I have to spend 10 minutes just to get my key out of the ignition. I tried locking and unlocking the car five times I heard that it resets the immobilizer. I’m so frustrated and I don’t know what to do.

If the starter is not spinning the engine over - even with a jump - you may have a completely dead/bad battery. Your consumer grade jumper cables will not be able to supply enough current to replace a bad battery. (how old is your battery?) If the battery is weak - you will get many of your symptoms.

A H6 will work fine in your 2007. (there's no battery monitor to reset either)

Or - if the battery will fit from your other car - transfer that onto yours to test with.

I had a similar situation. My alternator died, which in turn killed a perfectly good battery. I'd have your alternator checked.

+1 - not uncommon for a failed voltage regulator to take out a battery and fuses (mine took out the headlight bulbs too!) Good news is on some models, the voltage regulator can be replaced separately from the alternator.
