Default Climate Control Problem Please Help!

I recently installed an AUX input converter on my S80. To do it, I removed the climate control unit from underneath the stereo. When I put it back together, the climate control unit doesn't work, and the "Service Airbag" warning is up. Any ideas?

Try having the codes cleared.

Can I do it myself with an OBD or do I need a dealer?

Only the Dealer or an Indipendant shop that can read the codes.

Someone on here had the same problem and there was a simple fix but I couldn't find it.

OK thanks. Hopefully I can get it figured out. I'll try to get to a dealer this weekend

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for a few?
If not disconnect it.
Then connect the + and - cables together for 5 minutes. That will discharge all the computers.(That is only touch the cables together. Not jump across the battery)

Then try to connect and see if it works.

It doesn't seem to have worked... I left it off and the terminals connected for 15 minutes and it didn't clear anything. The SRS alert is still up and the HVAC controls are still non-op. Sigh... This really sucks!

Yes it does Sorry that didn't work.
Have the Dealer clear the codes.
I wish I could find that post. It was an easy fix. The Dealer wanted to replace the module on that car and it wasn't the problem but I forget what was.

I really really hope you can find the post/info, cause that's the only next step I can think of. I really don't want to spend the $$.

So TECH, did you ever find out what that easy fix was for the problems with the climate control and SRS warning? I have been reading about this on here in dozens of threads and nothing?

I have the same exact problem right now with my 2002 S60. What was the solution to the problem?
