I have I think its standard climate control has driver and passenger *****.I live in Houston TX where its very hot and my fan turns on a few times a day and drains battery especially when I dont drive the car for a few days so I was going to install a relay hooked up to ignition that would cut power off for the fan at the fan plug.I realized that this would solve half the problem the fan wont go on but it will still get triggered so I was thinking to cut one of the wires at switch and put in a relay at the CCM.I did not take it a part yet does anyone know if there is a hot 12volt wire there or which is the trigger wire that triggers the sensor when the car is hot to turn on fan

I'm having the same problem on my '01 XC70. The climate control system just comes on, A/C, etc. I do have a "message" saying "Alarm System Requires Maintenance" and I've been having problems with some of the switches dying, requiring the three unlock ritual with the key in the driver's door to re-initialize the car...
