My info system reads emission system required. I had someone check it for me and the reading was code P0455. Evap Emissons control system leak.

 

Is the gas cap loose?
Or did you fuel up with the car running?

 

Hey tech. Yes, one time I put gas in the car while it was running. I went today 2/24/06 to my volvo guy and he said that it is my Oxgen senser. And that I need four of them. And they cost about for $200 to $250 for one.

One more question. Is there any thing special to do when you ghang front breaks? Thanks

 

The front brakes are easy and straight foward to do. The Hardest part of the job is putting the spring back on after the caliper is bolted back on.
You will need a 7mm Allen wrench,a big pair of channel locks or a C clamp to compress the piston.
To install the spring I install one side then try to get the other side started and use a pair of pliers and put that side under the caliper. Then use a screwdriver to put the middle section behind the caliper.

Try to find out from him which side is bad. I would do the both for the side the codes says is bad.
I think he might be trying to sell you all 4 to cover his A**.

Hey what's up Tech? I had all 4 oxgen senser changed and now I have more problems. the car runs worse than before.The check engine I is on and it's saying drive slow service ergent. My mechanic says it that metel box under the exhaust manifold, I foregot the name of the part. what do you think. THANKS FOR THE HELP!




PS. Is there anyone that has that problem?

 

Electronic Throttle body??

If so then it should still be under Warranty. They extended it to 10 years 200,000 miles.

My mechanic said that if he did it I will still have to take it to the dealer so they can do the software. And they might not want to do that THANKS TECH!!!!!!!!!........

 

Yes you should still be covered no problem.
That warranty should go with the car and not the owner.
The warranty was brought on by Lawsuits.
