Default Engine runs cold, takes forever to heat up & there is a significant cooling leak

Car: 2001 Volvo S80 T6 Excecutive

First problem...

First symptom: Engine takes forever to warm up.

Second sympton: When traveling at highway speeds, the engine runs colder.

Third symptom: When it's cold outside, below 35 F, the engine never warms up, runs very cold.

My guess: Bad thermostat...

Next problem...

Really bad leak, have to refill coolant resovoir every 30/40 miles, getting worse.

Already replaced a hose, and checked the connections.

Seems to be coming from water pump but not sure.

My guess: Bad water pump.

Any insight into these issues/are they related? Thanks!

Default Istall a new thermostat.

Along with reparing the leaks, running cold probably is caused by a defective thermostat

Do you think that the leak could be from the water pump? I've having to refill the resivoir every day.

Yes it can and I'd recommend getting it fixed asap. If the pump bearing goes bad it could easily throw the timing belt...
