window wil go down but takes forever to get back up!
I have a 96 850 glt one problem I'm having is the drivers side window will go down but it seems I have to push the center counsel button about a thousand times before it will go back up. All other windows are fine. Anyone have any ideas?

Well, the widow regulator/ motor that get's used the most is also the one that has the most issues. Your window does better when it isn't fighting gravity. You could pull the door panel and make certain the mounting bolts are tight; they sometimes get loose. While you're there you could spritz some white lithium grease on the regulator mechanism...but the truth is the regulator and/or motor probably are simply worn out.

Swiftjustice thank you for the reply. Let me if you will give you a little more info, I've read most posts on this but my problem seems unique. Nice and smooth going down ,no clicking no falling off track,I have not to this point had to pull the window up manually. If I press enough times, maybe a couple hundred times it will go up but who has the time? I don't know how to trouble shoot the center counsel relay switch. The cost is around $240.00 for the whole unit.

Wait...so you're saying 1000 times...I know you're exaggerating but...so you press the up and nothing happens at all and then you press the button x+1 and all of a sudden it runs all the way up normally? Or...each time you press it moves incrementally before stopping and then press the button again and again, each time it moves a bit? If the other windows work flawlessly, it wouldn't stand that there is a relay issue. One relay powers them all, or so I thought. Bad switch? Dirty contacts?

Swiftjustice44, window goes up smoothly when the right contact is made. Have you or anyone reading this ever pulled the window module? Begovic thinks it's a dirty contact, I'm assuming if I pull the module and turn it upside down I'll be able to spray contact cleaner into driver side window switch?

Just keep in mind that spraying cleaner while the switch is in place is the fast, down and dirty method. It will often dilute the built up crud enough for the switch to operate normally. As the crud has no where to go, it will build up again later and have the same issues. If it does get the switch working again then at your leisure, later, removing the assembly and a thorough cleaning is in order.

I am having the same problem where the window goes up fine but down real slow. I think everyone if forgetting that the rubber in the window track has soft fuzzy material on it. as this wears out, rubber on glass gets sticky. I can assist the motor and the window moves normally. This rules out all the switch and motor functions... they work or don't work. My focus is on the track. When I spray wd-40 in the track up front... the window moves smoothly. I believe that the rubber in the track has no fuzzy, slippery, smooth material left on it and the glass sticks to it. Until I remove the rubber inside the door, I won't know if I am correct on my assumption. Grease on the track would really make a mess an give dirt something to stick to... so for now... slow down and fast up for my window.
