faint valve ticking

Default faint valve ticking

ok whats up with the ticking? i jus got this 99 s80 t6 with 64k on it.. has a faint ticking in the valves do i need thicker oil? any ideas?

You can try synthetic oil if not then you might need the oil pan o-rings replaced.

what are the oil pan o-rings? why would they make the lifers tick?


oh 1 more thing the driver side 1 touch down goes 1/2 way down then goes back up , and wont go all the way down intot he door like 1/2 inch sticking out, and the passenger side works fine

The oil pan o-rings go between the oil pan and the block.They help with the oil pressure.If you have one that goes bad then you will loose some oil pressure causing the tapping noise.

As for the second quiestion I assume you are talking about the drivers door lock.When you lock it it pops back up?

no the locks work fine, it's the 1touch down, say it's down, and u 1touch it up it goes 3/4 up and goes back down by it's self (it like u stick your arm in there it's the safty kicking on), but why? if u hold it, it will go all the way up, and the window does not go all the way down, it sticks up an inch...

One thing you can try to do to fix it.
Hold the window switch going up once it reaches the up most point keep holding it for 10 seconds.Then push and hold it going down and when it gets all the way down hold the switch down for 10 seconds and see if it fixes it.
