Default Front Cigarette Outlet on the Blink

My cigarette lighter in my 2000 S80 just went on the blink. This is not a big problem since no one in my family smokes, it does however keep me from charging my cell-phone (unless I use the back-seat passenger outlet). Does anyone one know which if any fuse I should be checking to see if that's the trouble. Everything else (electrical) in the car seems to be working just fine.

There are two fuse boxes on the S80. One is under the hood on the drivers side of the car and the other fuse box is to the left of the steering wheel on the side of the dashboard. The fuses to your cigarette lighters are in this fuse box. You have to open up the driver's side door to get to the box. lift the plastic cover off to access the fuses. On the back of the plastic cover is a guide telling you which fuses do what. I cant remember what fuse number the cigarette lighters are, but it says there on the backside of the cover. there should be a little fuse remover tool too, but if not, then just use a needle nose pliers or something. The fuses are really tight, so be careful that you dont bust your knuckles removing them. You can get fuses at any autoparts store. However, what puzzles me is that you said your rear cigarette light works still? they should be connected together, at least if i remember properly; if one goes on the blink then they both should be out. I could be wrong though. I had a similar problem a few month ago and it was a burnt fuse. if the fuse isn't burnt then its prolly another electrical problem, like a short or a broken wire connection. Good luck.

There is a third fuse box behind the back left wheel (on 99's anyway) for all of the rear electronics. You have to unlatch the side cover and fold it down.

Just as an FYI.
