So my gas gauge, power locks, and left headlight went out at about the same time....is this **** related somehow or just wierd that they all quit working at the same time. I have checked all fuses inside the car, going to check the fuses under the hood.

 

Ok, so I found out that I need to Reboot or do a software update to my electrical box or something like that. I called the volvo dealership and they want $140 just to find out what is going on, then whatever it costs to fix the problem.

Is there anyway I can do this stuff myself or be able to pinpoint which electrical box needs the work so at least I don't have to pay the $140?

 

It is odd they will all go out at the same time. The gas gauge is controlled by the computer in the trunk. Double check the headlight bulb and fuses for the headlight.

For the other stuff disconnect the battery and tie the positive and negative cables together for about 10 minutes. Then reconnect and lock and unlock the car with the key and see what happens.

 

I forgot to mention, the other day my moon roof and rear defrost quit working as well. so now its: Gas Gauge, power locks, moon roof, and rear defrost that do not work...i replaced my light bulbs and they work now.

 

Do you get an alarm system service needed?
