Default Gears Slipping 1 to 2 to 3

Need some input...I have a Volvo S80 2002...Has about 150,000 miles on it. Has been kept up with oil changes, synthetic transmission flush/fluid, and other work that was needed.
A couple days ago I have experienced the car going into 1st or 2nd or 3rd gear slipping..Revs up to 3.5 RPM's and I have to obviously let off the gas to slowley let it get into gear.
I took it to a transmission specialist and he said he drove it and felt nothing strange. Also he hooked it up to basic computer and nothing about the transmission came up....???? I can't understand how he possibly drove the car and did not feel the gears struggling to get into gear. It happened for 3 day and really bad on the way to drop it off to them.
I replaced the ABS Module about 1 1/2yrs ago. A rebuilt one and a friend put it in. So the Module was not synched in with whatever software Volvo has.
I am just so confused what could be going on with it. Do you think it could have something to do with the ABS Module that was rebuilt and put in? Should I go to a dealership and have them put one in and sync the software to make that right?
PLEASE GIVE ME SOME IDEAS ON WHAT IS GOING ON!!

Welcome to the Forum. The transmission in the 2002 S80 is glass so I would not be surprised if it is on its way out after 150K. That being said, on OTC transmission computer will not be able to read the Volvo codes. You will need to take it to the dealer to get them read.

This will definetely help: https://volvoforums.com/forum/volvo-...ift-kit-53768/

Be sure to change the filter too! You can get one from any auto parts store for less than $15. Ask for a filter for a 2002 Grand Prix GTP.

Did your check engine light come on. I had a similar problem w/ my 2000 T6. After dropping the pan, replacing the filter and adding new tranny fluid (DEXRON VI) the transmission shifted a lot better, but in my case the CEL for shifting solenoid was still on. When you change the transmission filter definitely break open the old filter to see what it had caught. The planetary gear brass shims were worn out on mine and the brass shavings were in the filter. $2300 later my transmission problems went away.
