Default Help: 2008 S80 "Blind spot syst. Service required" is there a diagnosis procedure?

Hi all,

I have a 2008 S80 T6 that is giving a "Blind spot syst. Service required" message all the time. I cleaned the cameras (and the mirror camera's are getting warm). Is there a procedure to diagnose what may be wrong? Any common issues with this system that mine may be experiencing?

I searched around but have not been able to find anything. Any help is appreciated.

thanks much.

You are going to have to have someone pull the codes. My guess is that you have a communications fault.

What type of scanner is needed? Is this something only a dealer can scan? I am new to Volvos. Thanks much!

Take it to the dealer. Diagnosis for any warning light is free.

Wow, I had no idea the dealer would read the codes for free.. I was thinking Volvo would be like every other "stealership" I have dealt with in the past!

I just figured out B118E00 was that my drives side “auto up/down” needed to reset (it wasn’t working), once I reset I am down to 1 code: B118C04

any help diagnosing this is appreciated!

Thanks all!
