Default Help- Squeking Noises

I just bought a 2008 S80 3.2 with 25k miles from the Volvo dealer 3 days ago. I noticed that there was squeking noises whenever i made turns (squeeking like walking on floorboards, and sounded like coming somewhere from the center of the car). I also noticed that the transmission lags when down shifting. I took the car back to the dealer to have them check it out and fix it. They said the squeeking was due to the suspension and they may need to rerun software? And they said that the odd gear shifting was due to the adaptive transmission that had adjusted to the previous owner's driving style. All of these things make me feel very apprehensive about my purchase... Should i be alarmed? I think i would like to ask that they let me move into a different car...

Did you run an CarFax to see if it was ever involved in an accident? I'm not against buying vehicles that have been involved in accidents before, but you just need to look closer at these vehicles for shoddy repair work.

It is odd that the suspension would already be worn at 25K unless you were driving around NYC streets daily. Software is pretty much needed for any repair, these cars have more computers then some office buildings.

As for shifting, it is true it is an adaptive transmission, but I guess it would be hard to judge if what you feel is "odd" is really "odd" in terms of the vehicle.
