Inner CV joint Grease & Boot clamp(Left Side)
I'm having to rebuild the control arms with new bushings only after 7K miles. Have been having the wheels jerk to the right when applying the brakes. Bought the control arms with the bushings preinstalled from one of the recommended internet sites, (not mentioned) but I must have gotten the cheap control arm bushings with the replacement control arm. My bad for not asking ahead of time. The inner CV joint boot came off while I was dissassembling everything. The joint is clean but looks like it needs grease. What kind of grease does it use ? Also how much do you use? Do you pack each bearing with grease like you do an axil bearing? Also what do I need to use as a clamp to keep the boot in place once its all reassemblied? The boot is in great condition and can be re-used. Lastly, some fluid drained out of he boot when it came off, is that transmission fluid? It was about 3 oz of fluid.. Is that a problem?
