This would be my first Volvo so I have no familiarity with the brand. I bought the car dirt cheap from a friend who had been letting it sit. I figured the radio not working was some sort of code I needed to enter after putting in a new battery but I'm finding out thats not the case. When I push the power button the image of the car and "premium audio" or whatever shows up but then nothing else happens, no buttons works, when I hit source the AUX, Sirius 1, and Sirius 2 buttons are all grayed out. I've read in some other threads it could be a software issue but i also read it could have something to do with a module that needs a jumper. Anyone else have this problem and know of possible solutions? I love driving it I just need radio, TIA!

 

I took the fuses out of the blue box in the trunk and they were all good but now the stereo comes on and shows the stations, just no sound. Where is the amplifier located for the speakers?
