mods for wifes new 05 s80
Like the title says we just picked up a black 05 s80 68k miles t5 auto, and she wants to start the modification. So far I have found the drop springs,Ipd solid mounts for strut bar, black housing corner lights, and trunk wing, eyebrows for headlights seen them on a blue s80 but I haven't been able to find them. She would also like a black grille but I may just have to paint the stock one from what I've seen. Any help you all could give me would be great, I am no stranger to modifying cars so I'm excited to help her with hers. Last night I debadge the truck and shade the side markers.

That's pretty clean, why would your wife want you to mod her vehicle? My wife didn't even want me to touch my s80 t6 haha, I told her I wouldn't do any performance upgrades but only adjust the look of it.
There isn't much for the s80, I did a projector retrofit with 55wat HID kit, blacked out everything(I love the look of an all black car). I also just added a front spoiler/splitter and doesn't look to bad.
Congrats on the s80, lots of people hate it but I've had mine for a while now and I haven't had serious issues with it.

nice S80 you got. Not major on mod. But cosmetics like HID with fogs would be nice and i think a clear side markers would better ?? LEDs for sure. Aftermarket nav and aux/mp3.
Lucky on the low miles. Just make sure to do regular maintenance too
Make sure to add your car to this list :

t Thanks and she is the 3rd owner was originally sold in California been in Washington since 08 car fax showed no accidents and 20 maintenance records since in wa from the dealer we got it from so quite a good regular maintenance history. And she just wants to change the look as well no engine performance mods. She wants a sportier look so lowered and wheels it is. I found this car on swedespeed.com I already found the front lip so that's good she wants the eyebrows for the headlights but I told her I couldn't find them
It's on coilovers from what I read but I'm going with just the 1.2" drop springs

I did a set before these on my old vehicle, first time was a pita! However the second time around was a lot easier. I'd say total time was at least 5-6 hours (letting paint/clear coat dry) I bought my projectors from sportsautotech.com due to a sale they had at the time, even then they have some awesome projectors. The HID kit i bought from DDM tuning with 55 watt ballast to prevent an error code, I've had this kit for about 4-5 months and still works like new.
If you really are interested I can do a step by step video on how to do these, it's time consuming but the results are awesome and I personally couldn't be happier, also the projectors are Bi-xenon so they are both low and high beam, even if you are into the halo rings like what BMW has they have those too (not a fan of them).

That's not bad I am very familiar with ddm hid kits, I have put them in my 08 escape, my old turbo'd ranger I sold, wife's 94 f350, dads 05 Cadillac cts, and my brothers 94 accord, and not once has any of the kits had any issue very good quality for the price. I was going to get a set of projectors for the escape from the retrofitstation.com but having to bake the housings to split them I decided against it. On the s80 however it looks like the housings are already 2 piece so it will probably be a mod on the list
