Does anyone have any suggestions on how to open hood of 2000 S80 after hood open cable lost tension and does not work? For about a year b4 this happened the lever only worked in cold weather when it got hot you could hear noise but latch would not release. Now the cable lost tension and doesn't work at all. Need to figure out how to open hood will go to dealer or whatever is requ'd. Thx for insights here!

 

I have never had to mess with one. I know it will be a PITA to get it open.
