Default New to the forum, questions about my S80

Hey folks! i'm new at this stuff, but i had a few questions to ask of maybe those you know more than me.... dispite my name, its a '99 volvo S80 2.9, mock allllll you want.

1st, my volvo shop has said that a upper seal on my LF wheel is leaking. what does this mean, what does it do, and is it important to replace?

2nd. with my car is getting up there in age and mileage, the ride isn't as smooth as it used to be, and talking with other gearhead friends, i'm thinking about replacing the shocks, that originally came on the car. any ideas on if this is a good idea. doing some homework, i was thinking of doing a bilstien shock, a little stiffer- to try and limit the body roll.

3rd. i admittingly push my little volvo harder than most. any comments on how to make faster. --- or maybe something to ensure it runs another.... oh 850,000 miles?

welcome to the forum

1) upper seal ? no cue
2) suspension will help you if you can afford it, that goes for any car, if you want a stiffer ride springs and shocks combo is the trick
3) should have bought a T6 with 2 turbos on it

enjoy
