I don't know much about volvo's, I just picked up a 2000 s80 t6 yesterday... my tail light is kind of cracked and I wana buy new ones, I noticed some of the newer models have what it looks like LED Tail lights that look a lot nicer. What is the cut off year of tail lights I can purchase for my 2000, can I get like a 2005 or 2006 tail light on it?

 

well the 2005/ 2006 have LEDS for the brakes. So unless you get those LED i doubt. i think the design is the same ..i just lights are arranged in different order. Like the turn parking lights is high compares to your S80. Well you could give it a try i suppose. Only thing is is you might have to buy one. Or you could go to a junk yard and find a 2005-2006 year and check it right then and there for yourself. You could also call some volvo dealerships and see what they have to say.

The newer models (2007 onwards) will not @all fit older S80 models. That is for sure.
