After scanning my ABS system , and found a code for the front drivers side
wheel speed sensor , I decided to pull the sensor to inspect....

After removing the sensor it was obvious that it was bad just by the
sight of it ,(I should've taken a picture of it)

My question is , is it normal for the sensor to have this much wear?

I own a 04 Volvo S80 T6 Premier DSTC option as well if that matter's

I ordered a new one and don't want to break a new one if I'm
missing something...
any help on this matter would be appreciated ...

Well I guess everything is in working order ,guessing that there was
a wheel bearing issue at one time, because everything feels tight
and secure when I tried to check for play ,,
here is the pic of the old sensor (must be original )
