Default Oil Changes on 3.2 2009 S 80

Hi, I'm confused. Should I go to the dealer for synthetic blend oil changes for almost 100 bucks or should I do Mobil 1 oil changes for less than 50 bucks myself. Recomendations on oil type, weight, frequency of changes and oil filter types would be greatly appreciated . Thanks all

Thank you. What kind of filter and what mileage intervals should I change at ? Do I need special tools for the filter ? Thanks.

Knowing where you are located might make a difference in recommendations for oil weight. Please add a location in your profile.

I'd go with a 5W30 or 5W40 and a full synthetic. 7,500 miles or if you have the oil change idiot light, go by that. I'd also do it myself rather than pay someone else but I have all the equipment to do it at home.
Nothing wrong with Mobil 1 but I've also used Autozone synthetic (cheaper) and seems to be good stuff. I usually look for what's on sale.
I've had bad luck with Fram on my 850 so I'd stay away from them but pretty much anything else would be good like a Mann or Wix.
