Oil pan o-ring replacement instructions!!!

wow... This procedure tho...
My 1999 probably needs this done... I have a new dip stick and tube coming, with a o-ring for the tube to engine part, I don't have to do any of this crazy stuff for that o-ring right?...
Sigh not looking forward to doing the rest of the O-rings after reading this. Might be near time the old Volvo gets sold.
I have a very basic set of tools, no engine hoist but access to one if it still works. No jack or stands or ramps, but again access to some. Still not to sure about doing it myself.

I just did it on my back in the driveway this summer😔...its not a tough job, definetely is not a10hr job especially since they have lifts and the sludge can be removed.
I'd say it took me 2 hrs to remove, i then brought the pan to a machine shop with a heavy detergent wash, cost me $20, checked the torque specs put some grease on the o ring to hold it in place and maybe 1 hr to install. While your in there definetely check the health of your oil pickup tube screen, if you have sludge chances are it's plugged.

I had to drop the pan due to my pickup tube being clogged. I had just started using Mobil 1 0w-50 less than 1k mi before that...id say Mobil 1 did a good job at cleaning off the sludge, given i had 2" of carbon crud/ sludge in the bottom of my pan when pulled. My rec to you would be to use the same!
