Ok, this is getting really strange.

I turn off car, pull key out, then later on the engine fan will kick on.....I am afraid my battery is going to run down.

Why on earth would my engine fan kick on when the key is out of the car and I am not even around it?

I am getting a little worried now, so if you can please help me that would be great.

Is it the fan under the hood or inside the car?
Does the temp of the car seem warmer lately?
Does it happen only after you were using the A/C in the car?

 

Fan under the hood and no it doesn't seem hotter, and it doesn't matter when I use the ac or not

 

How long after parking the car does it usually come on?
If it is only like a few minutes then you should be fine. But if it is like 45 minutes or so then maybe the fan is going bad.

 

at least 30 min from just sitting there...It is kinda creepy...All of a sudden the key is out and the fan under the hood goes on....Will it run my battery down?

 

It might eventually if it does not turn back off.

 

Any idea how much a fan will cost?

 

I think it is over $300.00 but I believe you can handle it pretty easy to replace it.
