Its a 99 S80 2.9 the transmision service required and check engine light was on I rebuilded the trans on 110,000 now car hs 116,000after the car got out of the shop that was last october 2006 the checkengine light and the transmision service required was on since then th code was for an input speed sensor and a P1618bought the sensor a month ago replaced and erase the code with an OBDII scanner run car after changing from 1st gear to 2nd gear the check engine light andtransmision message were on again so I checked cables were fine don't know the problem but keep runing the car like that with the CEL light on now the speedometer and cruise control stop functioning don't know what to do now any help would be aprreciate it

You may need software upgrades.

 

If you erase the code will the speedo work again for a sec? If not, you may actually have a faulty sensor. (just throwing out an idea)

 

Well I supposed I need to take the car to a volvo dealer to do that, the odometer is working again without erasing the codes don't know but it might be possible that I need software updates I will ask them to do all kind of software update available for the car thanks for the help tech
