Default Reduce Engine Performace

Hello

I'm new here, I have a 2002 S80....I bagged back into a friends car and the next day my s80 wouldn't start. I jump it off and got it to start but the following morning it wouldn't say anything. I purchased a new battery and installed it then my car started without any issues. I drove my car for about 15 miles and park it, an hour later it wouldn't start again.I have a message reading Reduce Engine Performance. Any one ever had this issues?

Thanks

The best thing to do now is have the codes pulled from the system.

Hello Tech master

Do you think this issue could be fuel relay not getting any power. I released some gas from under my hood and my car started then cut off.

Thanks sir

Hello Markus,

Welcome to the forum, and sorry about the problem.

Moderator Tech is the top-dog of the forum and you can't go wrong with Tech's advice.

I would try to locate a local AutoZone or other auto parts shops that provide free diagnostic service. It is called OBD-II diagnostic and they hook up a hand-held scanner and retrieve fault codes from the car's on-board computer. If they can retrieve codes, great, but if no fault code appears on their scanner, then you may have to visit the dealer for further diagnosis.

I wish you the best.

JPN

I can see that Moderator Tech is the man, I have been reading several post with great answers from him. I'm not able to start my car to drive it to Autozone. I will have to have my car towed somewhere.

Thanks sir

I would try to check the basics now.
Fuel/spark.
