Hi all..Just want to ask is there anyway to reset the message or make it go away?..had my maintenance done about a month ago but i guess it comes on by mileage.Thanks for the info in advance...S80..2003..2.9 non-turbo..55400 miles

Search the forum for S80 resets as there are a number of previous threads on how to do this. The short answer is 'yes', you can do a sequence of button pushes / ignition turns to reset the SERVICE indicator.

I will try to reset it acording to the sequence that you mentioned..probably won't be today..raining here and under the weather..allergies/sinus problems but thanks again..let you know if i got it done by tomorrow..have a good one

Default regular service required massage

Hi guys..there is a thread about reseting the message indicator and i've tried a few times but nothing's happening...turn the key on position 1,hold the odometer down until the beep and a code came up ..045..after that the message pops up again..hope nothing major and no trip to the dealer..any comments welcome..

Not sure about the '03 models as the sequence seems to be slightly different for each year. I've read where the '02 models have to have a non-zero value (ie: at least 0.1 miles) on the trip odometer for the reset sequence to work.

thanks piecekeeper.I need a few things done so a trip to the shop is unavoidable and they will reset it..take care
