I am looking to grab a 2nd Volvo, and I am looking at either an 850 Turbo or an S80 T6.

Are there any S80 model years out there that Ford hasn't had their mitts all in the mix?

 

I think most people recommend staying away from the first few years (99-01?) as the P2 platform was a rather radical departure from previous Volvos and it took them a while to tweak everything.

Of course, there are people with 99's that run fine and I'm sure they'll bark at me shortly. LOL

 

Good point and I already have a P2 based car. Perhaps the 850 T5 is the way to go (or maybe a 98 S70 Turbo).

 

i have a '00 s80 that runs perfectly fine! haha just figured i would bark at you to be stereotypical

 

Have to admit I had my eye on a newer one with the Yamaha 4.4L V8, but just like with the excellent 2.9L, Ford seems to have screwed up a good thing by discontinuing it.
