Question S80 front indicator removal / replacement

I have tried to search for answers here but not found anything yet. Sorry if I am repeating an common question!

It seems S80 front indicator lens are in the firing line of stones and they get cracked easily.

Please can anyone tell me how to remove the indicator assembly or point me to the links. Is there anyway to stop them cracking so easily? Film?

Cheers

Lewis

Are you talking about the turn signal lens beside the headlights? If so, you need to open hood and look down right behind the lens and you will see a little tab you need to press down on with a screwdriver (not to hard or you will break the tab) while pulling forward on lens. It slides out forward towards front of vehicle.

Glad I could be of service. My 960 is going on its second one now. They are a little more difficult to get to but work the same way. Cheers!

The assembly principle is simple and effective unless you crash when the acceleration will be in the opposite direction and the assembly is likely to jump out .. unless of course it is already crushed by the impact!

Ah .. you make a good point ingydrummer! My cross threaded spark plug (on my other car) is a much more challenging problem!
