S80 revving on cornering
Hi. I'm a newbie and hope someone can point me in the right direction?
I have a very early (Dec '98) S80 T6 that has been in store for 2 years. It's now back on the road and is great, apart from 1 fault and that is on cornering. When I corner to the right everything is fine, but when I corner to the left the engine revs into the red until the wheels are straight again, when the gearbox changes up. My local garage is flummoxed
Has anyone experience of this?
Thanks in advance. Rod

Problem solved
Thaks Akabond.
Looked into those things but actually found the problem was an air lock!
Car had been in store and had lost auto-transmission fluid. Garage had topped up but had created an air lock that gave the impression that fluid was plentiful, whereas it was just held up in the filler pipe!
A clever guy at my local gearbox specialist fiddled with something and released the air lock and then topped it up correctly. Car runs like a dream now. Rod
PS: I still love my S80
