s80 start problem
I recently bought a 99 s80 with 83k. Every once and a while when you start the car it dies and then starts on the second or third try. Once started it runs like a dream. I wonder if seafoam or some other fuel injector cleaner would help?
I havea s80 diesel 2.5 and been experiencing same at times too. I associate mine with extreme cold weather we currently have in the UK. However, when the fuel tank is above 30% filled it is not a problem. Strange but if you consider that the fuel pump and line has a return flow the fuel will take the path of least resistance. When the fuel level in the tank is high then the return flow maybe meeting resistance and offers more fuel to the injectors etc. I keep the tank level high and do not have the problem now.
