This car runs very hot yet the temp gauge is normal but the dashboard gets so hot to the touch. Has anyone else run into this problem? I have taken it to the dealership several time to no avail. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Forum. I have never come across this issue with any of my volvos and I have had about 6 of them. Is the whole dash getting hot or only one part of it?

 

The whole dashboard gets hot but especially the left side . Is there such a thing as a firewall under the hood? I too have had many volvos 81 and 83 240/ 85 and 88 740/ 93 850/ 98 c70 and the current S80. Never had any trouble with any one of the past ones but quite a bit with this one.
