tonight i just had the service msg of "check brake light" pop up on the display. It popped up when i stepped on the brakes and then went away after awhile. it worried me and just wondering what would cause this light to pop up. i love my volvo and dont want something to happen to it especially when i cant afford to do anything atm. any help would be appreciated.

 

that means one of your brake lights are out. press on the brake pedal with someone behind you looking at which light is out.. its as simple as that.

 

Same thing here last week, the bulb was 97 cents unlike the expensive "dipped beam" that always go.

 

thanks guys i guess when i installed my left tail light from ebay one of the bulbs were loose.
