Now that the weather has cooled off, i am starting to have a problem with my S80. One early morning I came to start my car and it wouldnt turn over, i just get clicks from under the dash. I put it on charge of an hour and all worked fine. Since then i sometimes get a clicking sound in the morning briefly before starting. It has started though and I find that the clock is reset and sometimes the power opener on the doors dont work, i have to use the remote.

What could be wrong?

 

It sounds like a weak battery. When was it replaced? Or perhaps the alternator is starting to fail.

 

+1 on the battery needing to be replaced.

beware - disconnecting the positive terminal first may (very likely) trip your airbag warning which can only be reset with an airbag reset tool for about $60-100.

If memory serves - someone please verify this - disconnect the negative terminal first on these.
