Steering wheel vibration
Hi,
I have a 2000 S80 T6 that has noticable vibration in the steering wheel at highway speed (not noticable below 60mph). The vibration gets worst as the speed increases.
Wheels & tires are new and have been balanced twice and finally a third balance has been done using road force balancing (GSP9700). I still have the vibration. I also tried the winter tires and the vibration is the same.
Any ideas on other causes, tests I can perform, issues to look forwould be appreciated. Just tring to save a few dollars and avoid another visit to the shop. If that's what it takes thats OK ...
Thanks in advance,
Tom

steering wheel viberation is front tires viberation in seat is rear tires Would think tire is out of round or seperating New tire will do this Jack up front end lay a block of wood close to tire and spin tire by hand tire should not hit the block Also look at thread as tire is turning It should turn true with no wobble The rim could also be bent
