As the title says, my sunroof glass shattered with the sunroof in the open position. I first of all need some instruction on how to replace it, where to find glass that is reasonably priced rather than pay the dealer $500, and finally figure out how to get the sunroof to close. It is currently stuck about 1/3 closed and it won't go any further. I have cleaned out as much glass as I can from the area so I am not sure what the issue is at this point. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

 

Did it break from being jammed?

There is 2 screws on each side that hold the metal framing for the sunroof. They are under the plastic organ looking things.

Check Erie volvo for a used one.

There may be some glass stuck in the sunroof pan, and causing the rails to bind. Its hard to get the glass out, and if there is some stuck in there, that meens the sunroof needs to come out replace the guide rails need to be cleaned.
