Suspension knocking

Suspension knocking
Hello guys,
I have a 99S80T; I changed all Shocks and Struts (KYB) on the car 2 months ago. Before that there was a lot of knocking sounds when I drive over even a small bump on the road- the reason I changed all the shocks and struts.
However, the noises are still there now even when I go over a tiny crack on the road. It is really annoying.
The car bumps up too much when it goes over even a small crack in the road. It really sounds like something is loose or broken in the suspension. I dont know what it could be..thought changing the shocks and struts will eliminate that problem but not at all.
I really appreciate any advice or if anyone has this problem.
Many thanks.

I would definitely replace the spring seats. They should have been replaced with the struts to save money on labor. I just got mine done yesterday for $250 (parts and labor), but my struts were fine. Now all the front-end noise is gone. If you have some experience you might be able to do this yourself. You will need a spring compressor, some other standard tools, and lots of spare time (2-3 hrs per side). I have heard that the cross-shaped nut at the top can be removed with vice grips if you are careful. I was going to try this myself with some friends, but they were too busy.

Would this be likely to be the same thing I'm having which is a lot of squeaking/clunking from the front driver side?
Car seems to handle fine but really noisy.
I thought there may be some sort of suspension issue so I called a local Ford dealer (as I understand it, these share a lot of Ford stuff) a couple weeks ago and they said no problem to work on my car (2000 S80)

Most likely the same issue. It's a very common failure; search this site for "spring seats" and you should find more good info. Mine showed up as a squeaking and thunking.
It's such a common failure that there are heavy duty aftermarket versions available. I figured the originals lasted 80k mi, so I didn't fork over the extra money for the HD version.

Sway bar end links, drove me crazy ,common problem with these cars, knocking noise just backing out of driveway.IPD makes heavy duty ones.If the tech was worth his salt he would have noticed the spring seat bushing separated from the seats when he instaled the struts .The end links are fairly cheap fifteen twenty dollars each most good auto part stores have them.FCP groton, euro parts both in conn. 2001 S-80 74000

Im going to get my suspension inspected soon but I think the spring seat is the culprit in this case for me as well..
Car was fine, I get a friend to drop me to the airport in it and when I get it back i get that horrible knocking noise... Looks like he may have slammed it on a few speedbumps where I live or something..

Follow up: Took it in yesterday to local Ford dealer and dang.... they want to replace practically everything. Almost 2k worth of parts/labor. I'll wait till it's warmer and look into this myself or find a shop that is willing to fix the actual problem instead of replacing everything.
