Svc Engine Soon Messge

have been getting this message off and on for past 1 1/2 years Also cruise would not work right. Would go off and sometimes would not reset. Just replaced brake pedal position sensor. Message is gone and cruise works fine now

That may have been the problem, what diagnostic did you go through?
