Default after burner code po410and svc reset help

whats the trick to reset the oil svc light and any hints as to start to repair afterburner system?

And your car is what year? The procedures are different depending on the year of the car. Please also explain what you mean by the afterburner system. Are you talking about the catalytic converter?

97 850 wagon...code refers to a Malfunction in emissions After burner system which runs during the first few minutes at start up...and need to know the trick to resetting the oil change svc light

On the 97 car you need a special tool.

What was the code that referred to the afterburner?

code is po410... and can you discribe the SPECIAL tool..is it only available at the dealer$$$$$ which is what im trying to avoid

It is a service light reset tool that is pretty expensive to buy.
That code is for the Air pump system. The pumps commonly fill with water and go bad.
IPD used to sell the tool but they do not now.

thanks tech the pump info will give me a good start...my code reader will not reset the light and do not want to go to dealer for the svc light$$$$ reset.

See if you have a volvo specialist near you. Maybe next time have the oil change done there to get it reset. Some shops do oil changes for pretty cheap.

Our shop I think is like $40.00 to be somewhat close to the oil change places.
