I am getting the alarm system service message so after reading all the information here I am going to replace my siren. After looking on alldata it says the new siren must be reconfigured by VADIS. Does anybody know for sure if you can just replace thesiren and it work properly without being reconfigured?

 

I would say 90% of the time you will be fine just installing the new siren.
I have done many before even knowing about having to reset.

 

How would I know if it does need a reset after the install? will the alarm go off or something?

 

If it needs the reset then it would at times go off by itself or you will still get the message in the window that alarm system service is needed.
